Tell your story with an animation

You work in the communications or marketing department. Your organisation has a lot to say, and you know that this can be conveyed 10 times better through animations. But as always; the deadline was yesterday and there is no one to actively manage it.

At Animation studio LiM, we have delved into the animation process and made the steps transparent. We also use our in-house developed software to quickly produce an animation. And the great thing is, the more animations we produce, the more cost-effective they become! So have you got the hang of it, we can even develop an affordable animation series together.

An animation in your organisation's style

Choose an illustrator

Draw from our database of partner illustrators.

You have the stories, we operate the software. The missing link is the illustrator, whose drawings we use as building blocks for the animation. This choice is yours, because the illustrator determines the style. We do provide you with a list of options.

Have you expressed your preference? Then we will contact you to involve the illustrator in the project.

Writing the voice-over text

We provide tips and advice.

Want to have an animation made? This process almost always starts with writing a voice-over text. Wh? The voice-over sets the rhythm of the animation. By knowing how much information you need to convey, you can determine the number of drawings required to create a cohesive animation.

Creating a storyboard

In what order do the elements appear?

Based on the voice-over text, we will start working on the storyboard. In the storyboard we show, for each scene, the order in which elements will appear. This includes the corresponding voice-over text. The first version is a collection of sketches, which we refine and finalize based on your feedback.

In this step, we also decide whether we want to add extra dynamic elements, such as walking figures.

Have animation made, including
robot voice-over and subtitles

Adjustments to the text are still possible here.

When the illustrations are final, we start making the animation. Under the first version of the animation, we put a robot voice-over. This allows you to test the rhythm and make any textual adjustments before the voice-over is recorded 'for real'.

The real voice-over is recorded

We will edit it into the animation.

Once you are completely satisfied with the concept animation with robot voice, the real voice-over can make its appearance. We have a list of professional voice-overs we work with. You choose one and have him or her record the text. We then edit it under the animation.

The animation is now almost finished! If necessary, we can add certain effects through post-production. Contact us to discuss the possibilities.

Editing subtitles

Make the message accessible to everyone.

Would you also like subtitles to accompany the video? This ensures that people understand the content even if they do not have their sound turned on. If desired, the subtitles will be added into the animation at the final stage.

The final product

We provide various files.

Because everyone was closely involved in the process, the final product is not a surprise to anyone. It is solid and tells exactly the message you want to convey. With this animation, you will undoubtedly stand out among the larger audience, your own supporters or other internal/external stakeholders you want to reach!

We will deliver 5 files so you can easily distribute the animation on all possible channels:

An animation optimised for online use, without subtitles
An animation optimised for large screens, without subtitles

If subtitles are also required, we will also deliver (in addition to the above):

An animation optimised for online use, with subtitles
An animation optimised for large screens, with subtitles
A text file with the subtitles that can be used on e.g. YouTube, Vimeo and LinkedIn
