FAQ
We often get these questions. Can’t find yours, or want to know more? Call Arno.
File delivery and Technical Details
What do I provide for an interactive drawing?
In short: your drawing as a layered file. Anything that needs to move should be on a separate layer. Plus a JPEG with red circles indicating which part belongs to which scene. That’s it. You can find the full step-by-step process on the process page.
What do provide for an animation?
Three things: the voice-over script, a storyboard, and your drawings as layered files. In the storyboard, you indicate which elements appear per scene and in what order. Everything about file delivery is explained on the process page.
Do I need technical knowledge?
No. Send us your files and we’ll take care of everything. For your drawings, anything that needs to move should be on a separate layer. Not sure how to do that? Call Arno and he’ll explain it in a minute.
How does our first collaboration work?
This is a new process for you, so you can count on close personal guidance from Arno. He’ll explain exactly what to expect and guide you step by step. No worries, we’ve got you covered.
Which file formats can I provide?
Everything you’re used to working with: pixel files from Procreate or Photoshop, and vector files from Concepts, Adobe Fresco, Illustrator, or Affinity. See the process page for more information on file delivery.
My client’s story contains sensitive information. Is an interactive drawing from Animatiestudio LiM secure?
It’s the only tool that runs entirely within your client’s IT environment. No external software, no sensitive information shared with third parties.
Process and Delivery Time
How long does it take to create an interactive drawing or animation?
One to two weeks after the files have been submitted. We’ll draw up a realistic timeline together during our first meeting.
How many revision rounds are there?
With an interactive storyboard, there is usually one round of revisions for the illustrator and one for the client. With an animation, you provide feedback at various stages: on the first version with a AI voice-over, and then on the final animation before the subtitles are added.
Can my client install the interactive storyboard themselves?
Yes. Your client hosts the files within their own IT environment: an intranet, a secured page, or their website. We can of course support you with this.
With our test files , your client can already test how everything will work within their own environment beforehand.
Does it work in intranets and secured environments?
Yes. Our files work on websites, intranets, and secured environments. We can provide support if needed.
Do I have to oversee the entire production process myself?
That’s an option, but not a requirement. Some illustrators manage the project themselves and hand the process over to us. We discuss how we’ll go about it in advance.
Collaboration and other topics
How much does an interactive drawing or animation cost?
On our pricing page, you can calculate the cost yourself using the calculator. The price you see is your wholesale price. What you charge your client is entirely up to you.
How do you handle confidential content?
We frequently work with stories created for internal communication and treat all materials as strictly confidential. In our portfolio, we only showcase publicly available projects.
Can I combine an animation with an interactive drawing?
Yes. We call that an interactive animation. First, an animation that outlines the main points of the story, followed by clickable sections providing more detail on each theme.
Who is my contact person?
